José Carlos García
Some people learn a profession. Others grow up inside it. José Carlos García belongs to the second kind.
His relationship with cooking began very early, in the kitchens of the family business and within a way of understanding gastronomy in which work, produce and the table were always present.
He studied Cookery at the Málaga La Cónsula Hospitality School and, following his father’s advice, left home to continue his training. During the first years of his professional career he worked and learned alongside great masters in different European cities, discovering new techniques and other ways of cooking.
José Carlos is a chef deeply rooted in his city and, above all, to the local produce that surrounds it. Daily contact with his surroundings remains an essential part of his cuisine.
Close and personal relationships. Our trusted suppliers are an essential part and the fundamental link of our cuisine.
We do not force nature; we listen to it. The produce of each season sets the visual and flavour calendar of our dishes.
The final meeting point. We take great care over how we want to welcome our guests and over the human relationship with every person who decides to sit with us.
After a lifetime of cooking, José Carlos García has built a career and a restaurant with a name of its own. Now a new chapter begins.
Not to start from zero, but to choose again. To choose what he wants to cook. How he wants to welcome his guests. What relationship to have with the people who sit at his table. And how he wants to live his profession today.
